Welcome to the Coast Mountain Angler Guide Company!
The Coast Mountains of British Columbia produce some of the most spectacular rivers and some of the finest fishing in the world. There are many regions that are of interest to visiting anglers of all levels:
The lower mainland region, more specifically Squamish, Whistler and Vancouver Island is easily accessible to many anglers because of its vicinity to Vancouver and Whistler.
The Coast Mountain Angler Guide Company operates out of Brackendale, B.C., nestled amidst three productive rivers, the friendly Squamish, the roaring Cheakamus and the Mamquam. These rivers and the surrounding lakes and other rivers in the region offer year round fishing, not only for the eagles of Brackendale, but also for anglers from around the globe.
The Skeena region is a vast region in northern coastal British Columbia with many rivers and streams that offer year round angling opportunities. The un-dammed river systems of the Skeena and the Nass offer unparalleled high quality fishing for all species of pacific salmon including steelhead trout as well as trout and char both resident and sea run. Tributary streams of the Nass and Skeena rivers have decent populations of summer steelhead that provide particularly good sport to anglers using the dry fly method.
The rivers of British Columbia boast large salmon runs starting May and ending in November. The runs are so prolific that anglers come from all over the world to test their metal. The Chinnok salmon enters the rivers during the spring freshet in May, June and July. The Pink salmon enters the rivers in July. The silver Coho salmon provides fishing from August to November and the prolific and mighty Chum salmon tempts anglers during August, September and October.
Throughout the season, , there are good populations of trout, char and steelhead trout in the local rivers. Lake fishing for feisty silver rainbow trout is also very popular in the spectacular Coast Mountain scenery.
